now investigating just going 1080p24 and converting from 60i to 50i instead to provide them the footage. Seems as though the loss of quality would be significantly less than standard video...

Yeah, just leave it open. Perhaps you are under the windows mentality that it is bad to leave apps open.

Just go on ebay and look for someone parting out a quicksilver. You might have to give it a couple weeks but you should be able to find a cheap power supply.

once you get your ipad, you can download ibooks (free) and down load the user manual from apple and there is another user guide that is free. I tried to download the userguide directly from apple and for some reason my pc won't load the pdf ( even though I have adobe pdf reader)

I just checked IE 5.0 in OS 9 and I didn't see what you described, only the tab issue you already alerted us about. IE 5.1.7 has the tabs right and it shows the left and right columns.

Even after reading the article, I think I'll stick with my Nano and my Portable DVD player.:cool: Too much "runnin around" going on with that "thing." Oh WAIT.. my PB plays videos! Issue solved.

Is the file really a jpeg? Is it CMYK or RGB?
Yeah, it looks like the image is CMYK. I don't know if changing it will fix the problem, but it should be RGB either way.

After putting a new HD in my iBook and reinstalling OS X 10.4.2 - iBook edition, I can tell you disc 2 is required and cannot be bypassed.

It's impressive that the iPhone is doing so well in the face of the continual public bashing that AT&T is always taking. Does the iPhone have such allure that people are willing to switch to an inferior carrier just to own the device?
Not everyone has problems with AT&T. I personally don't and i know others who don't as well. Now if you base at&t being inferior based on things said online then obviously some people will be trolls and make things up just to be on the bandwagon.
Personally i love my AT&T service and sure its dropped some calls. But show me a wireless provider who has never had dropped calls. BTW the people switching to verizon will be spending alot more money and not even getting unlimited data.

i dont think there will be near the hype of last year, looking at the posts for dallas on the last iphone launch there were tons of posts.

What if you download them directly from Apple (the best source for updates of this nature)?
Well, I thought that I was doing so by going through VT. I don't think VT hosts the files, they only provide a direct link to the download URL.
I was able to download the update on my G5 and it mounted properly this morning. I'm going to try and move it over to my iBook and install it there. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks, but it needs to be 2.0 since it will have a hard drive, iPod nano, and PSP hooked up to it.
