Well it is not supported, same as running GPU on Linux... Only difference is that they are so many doing so that they figured it out...

Uhh, ok? You linked to a video where the HD 3000 is going against an unreleased APU from AMD. May as well have posted a comparison to the GMA 950 to the 6990. :rolleyes:

Yay, I'm hoping for a redesign..
Although I probably would not get an iMac anymore, reason being I've had three in the past and all of them had dead pixels, two of them also had yellow tint, infact I was seeing more and more dead pixels over the time I've used it, I have no clue what the cause is, but I until these issues are resolved I'll stick with my Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW & Hackintosh..

The 6950m and 6970m are also available in 2gb models. That would help with the larger resolution of the 27" display. Let's hope for that as well!

Oh we won't have commercials, and now most of the channels do, and I can see this happening on downloads, you get the download and the first 10min is Ads. Plus I have better things to do than sit in front of my computer all day long, do that enough at work and when I am taking a break like now :rolleyes: What the Movie industry needs and music industry needs is a huge shot of quality not quantity, I can't think of too many movies and or music CDs that I would want to buy right now, or even rent.
Have you ever listened to satellite radio? I am guessing not, because every music channel (on Sirius at least) is commercial free. Over 100 channels I believe.

I wasn't blaming BMW. Just stating, but it looks like it was just the spark plugs going bad as when my brother replaced them the engine smoothed back out.
They needed replacement because they were probably on their last leg before putting in the wrong fuel. :p
To be fair, the only things that have actually failed on me with my E46 are:
-cooling system (expansion tank burst; it was the OE tank, and the car was at 200k) - $300 DIY repair (did the entire cooling system overhaul).
-final stage resistor (a/c / heater vents would not turn on, it was the OE part, and the car was at 200k) - $90 DIY repair.
Everything else has been maintenance. Oil, filters, spark plugs, gaskets, etc. If I have learned anything from the failures mentioned above, it's that these cars will run a very, very long time, even on ORIGINAL parts. It still baffles me that the expansion tank held up so long! Just do the work yourself, and you'll save a bundle. I've also owned an E30 and E36, so I've been through the generations.

Every single one of those (except perhaps home theater) would be much better suited with a cheaper VIA mini-ITX system running Linux. The only reason you should ever choose Mac OS X over Linux is in *visible* setups, not *invisible* setups.Sadly, I've tried to make cheaper VIA based mini-ITX systems. I usually end up getting a better buy from a Mac Mini.

I hope hope hope that iTMovieStore becomes a super success.... and I hope that Steve will force them into a $9.99-Only model and not that stupid $14.99 hierachy..... they'll have to "submit" after it becomes super successful. haha.
now seriously, movies here in new york are a blasted $10.50-10.75!!! ridiculous. I remember like "2 weeks ago" when movies were at most 8.75, but then when Star Wars Episode 1 came out and then Episode II, AMC 25 in manhattan suddenly bumped their prices up.....each time. "Oh, cause Star Wars, we must raise prices".
And, they've kept it ever since. Movies are making huge returns, and yet we have to pay a boat-load of money.. Soon it'll be $15. And you know what, Hollywood is going to pay and so will the theater chains. I hope the online model takes over at high quality. I can see it now, I'll pay $50 for a "rental" ...i won't mind........ when i have a 54" iTunes-DRM-signed code for mass-viewing (This is the future, i think) and i'll have 10 friends over.... it'll be Theater-replacement baby!! Like boxing on PPV.... pay $50 and have 10 friends over. I'd pay.... i am talking about current releases. And, when they are 3 months old... $9.99 to buy. THank you Apple. Now, Do it!

This is why I'm getting into Hollywood myself. I plan to be part of the revolution. Sure I like money just like any other schmoe. But, there is something wrong with everythign right now. Especially since all movies are crap these days.... formulaic and tired. And they want to keep raising the prices!

If I don't like the price of a DVD, I don't buy it. If its a movie I really, really like.. then sure, I find the $19 price tag more than acceptable, because I know I will be watching the movie a couple of times. Nobody's asking you to buy a DVD of every single movie that comes out.

I sure hope DanCosich's post is true! I just had my 12" Powerbook stolen from me last week and my insurance company is paying for an equal replacement or if one isn't available, the next thing up. Looks like a 15" MBP is the next thing up! Going from a 1.33GHz G4 to a C2D MBP is just a plain silly upgrade. I'm out $1000 from a deductible, but that's quite the upgrade for $1000. I'd say it was worth the theft except the fact that my car got busted up as well.
