Gig 'em

Lay-ups are our thing
The Big XII Conference has another championship.

Women's basketball.

The Texas A&M Aggies won the NCAA National Championship Lay-Up Drill in women's basketball, beating Notre Dame 76-70.

Not a fan of women's basketball. However, credit is due. A&M is a team of some recognition, but I very much doubt they were anywhere near the top of anyone's bracket considering the beasts that perennially win in women's basketball.

If you want a big reason I have no interest, look at that. The fact that Connecticut and Tennessee are perpetual favorites and can win 70 straight games is ridiculous to me. If you hate parity, you'll love women's basketball. It's not a bad thing to have A&M winning for the sport or for those who generally like Texas teams winning.

By the way, the last two national champions from the Big XII are from women's basketball.
