Mock me once
The Dallas Cowboys head into the NFL Draft in a couple of weeks with their first top 10 picks since ... Terence Newman in 2003.

9. Prince Amukamara
CB - Nebraska
Amukamara, I thought, was going higher in initial mocks. Must have dropped a tad to the lower half of the top 10. Played for a fantastic defense at Nebraska, a team forced to go head to head against some salty offenses like Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Texas A&M. Knock on him early was speed. Did not register an interception his senior year.

9. Tyron Smith
OT - USC
Smith is a popular pick for the Cowboys. Would provide depth at the offensive line position. However, if the Cowboys spend a first-round pick on the offensive line, barring injury, they start, don't they? You can't spend that money and that pick on a guy just to watch him sit. Is Marc Columbo so much better? Ideally, no.

Love this. Check out the photo they used for the guy picking Smith. Instead of a photo of Smith pancaking a pass rusher from Arizona or Washington State, they have a shot of Ndamukong Suh bear hugging Jon Kitna. Star Telegram: Awesome.
