Really missing Clint Hurdle right now.
The Texas Rangers lost again last night 8-1 at home to the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers are a scary line-up that will just beat the shit out of you with foul balls. However, I counted about five or six hits that were poorly hit and dropped in front of a fielder.
The big news here is that Thad Bosley was fired as hitting coach. First John Rhadigan after 50 games and now Bosley after 60 games. The bobbleheaded Texa heroes better watch their fucking backs.
The Rangers are fourth in the American League in runs, second in average and fifth in on-base percentage. With runners in scoring position and scoring position and two outs, the Rangers are fifth in the American League.
Individually, there's been ups and downs. Ian Kinsler's in a season-long slump. Mike Young's in a bit of a slump.

Seems like there's more afoot here. I don't know what. Maybe his relationship with the hitters. Maybe philosophy thing. No idea. Still odd to oust a guy from a first-place team in early June.
Scott Coolbaugh's the new hitting coach. He was at Triple A Round Rock and he's been with the organization for forever.
