startup visa is the most horrible of all the ideas..... this subject is like a hidden enemy of all immigrants waiting in the backlog ..... is anything like this would pass..... the congress will tell everyone that entrepreneurship related immigration issues are all fixed.... it will be hailed as the biggest victory of american capitalism & congress will forget @ those stuck in the backlogs..... the reality will be that is just another way for those 170 venture capitalist to rake more....
some reporters write these articles with no knowledge of the subject.... & with little or no research of their own....
Why do you think it is SO horrible? Suppose this comes up for debate, we have an opportunity to revise the 170 VC's clause or maybe water it down some extent. If we are not able to do that, even then sometime in the future we could work those screws and try to loosen. At least it gives a segment of our community a chance to clear the line.. just my thinking .

She can't renew her H1B after 6 years. She can work using EAD or choose not to work. No need for H4 also. If you want a cover for you, she need to file PERM for her to start a process for her. No other way for cover. If you work for sponsoring employer, your H1B is still valid, eventhough you enter with AP.

Since the AP application is over 90 days pending, you may be eligible to discusss with the customer service. If you do not get good answer, you may be able to schedule an infopass.
We found out at the Infopass that my wife's AP application had been approved 2 months ago. But online system still shows as pending but just got a soft LUD on the date it was approved. So you never know what you may find out.
But not sure if they would give out information to the applicant's spouse

If you look closely its for the I-484 stage. I have also been told that the first stage has to be apporved. So the first I-140 has to be approved (earlier priority date). The word 'subsequent' is throwing the confusion around.
I think this is not fair since lot of people have their earlier petition being approved after their second petitions (due to perm and premium I-140).

NSC received my application July 2nd (concurrent filing 485/EAD/AP..)
1. When do the 90 days wait start counting? From July 2nd? (that would mean I should receive my EAD by 1st October.
2. I read walk in centers is a service not provided by USCIS anymore. However, cannot find conclusive information (many people say they still do). What will happen then after the 90 day period? How can I get my interim EAD if it does not arrive on time?

I went for Driver licence renewal.I have I797 H1B notice of approval for 2 more years.But I don't have it stamped in passport.So when they see it,they said they won't consider it as visa on passport is not valid and expired.Though I am not using ,I have valid EAD card also.So When I shown it ,they renewd my licence.Now I am thinking,is it ok If I use my EAD card for licence renewal as I am not using EAD status now.I want to be on H1B only.I don't want to use EAD now. can anybody tell me will it be alright to use EAD?Does it effect anywhere in my status?

I have lost all hopes and posting here to find out if there are any companies who are willing to do h1b.
I am not in software field, i am in to bio technology and i am looking for the post of clinical research coordinator or clinical research associate CRA , CRC.
If any of you know any company which does h1b for CRA, CRC it would really be helpful if you could post me the link of the company here.
