hmm..., I was in college back then.
I was sleeping when the first plane crashed. One of my roomates woke me up and said something like "wake up dude, I think World War III has just begun" (talk about a surreal way to wake up). When I got up the news guy was talking about an attack on the pentagon.
Classes had been suspended that day (due to a a bad storm that had flooded some streets), so we stayed all day at home glued to the TV in complete shock and disbelief.

Hi,
I don't know if i have some kind of super ears or...
But my new 20" iMac (the one with isight build in) makes a very high frequency noise when it is off. Only when it is off actually.
It can be compared to the high frequency noise a normal television makes.
What about yours??
Mery Christmas everyone!
Kind regards,
Lars Petersen

lol 1 last question is is it 1 cable or do i have to buy the adapter? i looked online for just one cable but i keep getting the adapter instead of 1 cord. but my guess is that you have a regular optical cord then plug the 1 end into the adapter? :S

It's also possible for one SWF file to use a GoToandPlay command to tell another SWF file what to do... the way my Flash site works, there's a substrate Flash file (Main.swf) which loads into level 0, and which remains in place the entire time. All other SWF files load on top of level 0, in specific predetermined levels. So, an SWF file in one level (say, level 4) can send a message (GoToandPlay) to an SWF file in a different level (say, level 5) and make that SWF file do something... in this case, "continue" the animation of the golf ball by playing a particular sub-movie or sequence of frames.

Don't assume we can read your mind.
The details of how you pull the accelerometer data out, cast it and stuff it in storeArrayay be where the problem lies.
As the last post shows you need to give us more context. How is storeArray declared?

whats new??? so apple isnt telling us exactly what is in our machines. last time i checked apple didt tell us that the DVD burners in our systems are capable of doing DVD-RW. why would they tell us that they are using a different manufacturer??? and, oh no!!! more formats!!! they better not tell us and add to the value of buying a mac

Really?
Why, what can you use the TB port with today?
People generally keep their machines for longer than a day.

I do not disagree with you. I should have said for "my real work". Obviously there are activities that require mobile computing and can be handled by a phone, tablet, netbook etc. just fine.
Sorry - it wasn't aimed at you in particular. Rather, at the hordes of people who seem to think small notebooks and tablets - Apple ones in particular :) - are only for consumption. A later poster put it perfectly: the market has evolved, not the computers. In practical terms, as a business traveller, this suggests to me that I'll see fewer and fewer guys in suits schlepping gigantic Dell laptops with power bricks the size of small houses, and using them solely for Word and Outlook.

I looked at the requirements you posted. Nvida 3D will not work in OS X and Windows XP.
Last I read at Netkas those cards are just barely working in some cases.
I think the only way you are getting 3D output to your 3D TV is to add one of the supported cards and upgrade to Vista or Windows 7, per the requirements listed on the website. Keep the existing video card for OS X output and use the new video card for Windows output.
You will either need a switch box or connect both video cards to both displays (assuming they both have multiple inputs).

I think Linux might have a higher install base than Mac....
I always laugh at these charts... it's like comparing the install base of Bentley to the install base of Toyota. Doesn't exactly tell the story, does it?

Actually I believe what we were talking about was how much cheaper units can function as computer displays.
My 13" CRT can function as a display too. That doesn't mean it's going to give me good picture quality and high resolution. Cheap TV's are cheap for a reason.

So with WMP gone and now VPC gone, the only MAJOR software developed for Macs by Microsoft is Office?
Let's just hope they don't decide to kill office. Sure, I know there are lots of alternatives out there, but you try telling that to Mr. idiot joe-average boss.
Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon, fortunately:

I was in my dorm's bathroom, getting ready to go to class that day. Some people in the bathroom had heard about the first plane, and were telling us - nothing concrete, I just remember hearing about a plane, and the World Trade Center. I went into the common area, turned the tv on to the news, and saw the replay of the second plane hitting. I didn't quite understand it, and went to class and in every class that day we either listened to the radio (my first class was an art studio, that's how I learned about the third and fourth planes) or the professor talked about it to some extent.

Hi all. I am looking for newspaper templates for my students (6/7th graders) to create newspaper about historical events. Old looking ones would be nice. Just can't find any good ones...
Thanks much!

The Finder brushed metal will be the last surprise change to the UI. Brushed metal is so 2004. Probably we'll see a radical change to Finder?
My guess, we'll see buttons and soft gradients, like those on the Apple store (Mac Book Pro) pages.

I mean, I am not looking for any job. I want to gain some experience over the summer vacation, since I'll be staying here most likely, and want to do something productive.
